Sharon Khazzam's career began in 1984, with a degree in jewelry design from New York City's Fashion Institute of Technology. Shortly after graduation, Sharon was hired by Asprey in New York for the position of sole In-House designer. As part of her training, Asprey sent Sharon to continue her education under the supervision of Carvin French's Andre Chervin. During this eight-year period, Sharon continued her studies at the Gemological Institute of America and the Cooper Union, While continuing to attend countless lectures and workshops led by experts in her field.
In 1993, Sharon debuted her first collection at Asprey, in addition to the continuous creation of Bespoke pieces for private clients.
In 2001, Sharon launched her eponymous collection, creating one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces and she has built a large audience of collectors who covet these elegant, and often whimsical, creations.
In 2013, Sharon was honored with the position of member-at-large for the American Society of Jewelry Historians, and in 2014, Sharon was inducted into the council of Fashion Designers of America.
Sharon's love of beautiful jewels is apparent in the meticulous care taken in creating and cataloging every single piece. Today, Sharon continues to draw, paint and create individual pieces that are clearly unique to her sense of design and style. Sharon aspires to turn her creations into timeless collectibles, destined to tell a tale to future jewelry lovers.
